This is the standard for anchoring, strong, lightweight and resistant to abrasion, rot, mildew, petroleum products and most chemicals. It absorbs shock and will retain its shape. Sold by the spool.
A firm design and smooth, even surface holds it shape well even under load, so it's a good choice for a number of uses: blocks, pulleys, sheaves, winches, towing, tie-downs, anchor, mooring and docklines, etc. Nylon offers elasticity and memory under heavy loads. Knots well; difficult to splice.
