QUESTIONS & ANSWERSAsk a Question
I have a 2021 V175 combo tracker boat I was wondering what anchor weight I should go with I am fishing the rivers in Rio Vista California pretty fast current out that way also fish the Sacramento River which isn’t that fast of a current but still pretty good ….. also do you got any sales right now with a free bag ?
I would go with a 25lb anchor if you are going with the rocker style that we carry. If your river bottom is more mud or sand, you may want to go with a Bruce or Danforth style and drop the weight down to about 12 or 14.
Hope this helps.
I have a 20 ft sportcraft fisherman I was wondering if the 25 lb anchor would be a good choice for me or should I go bigger I fish the snake river here in idaho around American falls
A 25lb anchor should be the sweet spot for you and will cover you in most conditions.
I have a 19 foot fiberglass boat, I/O and that is what I use. I do have an additional 6' of chain always on there, bringing it to about 32'. In addition to that, I carry another 6' of 3/8" chain that I can tag on to that, just in case I need more weight when the water is ripping. This brings it up closer to 40'.
Hope this answers your question.
