If you are purchasing this quick release bracket as part of our Trolling Motor Adapter Kit installation and you already have one of these mounted, you only need to purchase one of these quick release brackets.

If you don't already have one of these quick release brackets, you will need to purchase 2 of these, #1 is for your trolling motor and #2 is for our adapter kit to get your anchor nest mounted.

The Minn Kota RTA-17 Quick Release Bracket helps to easily remove the Riptide ST or Riptide SP bow-mount trolling motor. The high-yield composite construction is super strong and impervious to corrosion. Low-profile design leaves the deck clear when the motor is removed. Locking handle with stainless steel pins can be secured with a padlock (not included).

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    Ask a Question
    • I just want to attach an Anchor Caddie Sport (SPT-200) to the bow of the boat and be able to remove it when I am done fishing. Can I just use this Minn Kota Quick Release Bracket (RTA-17) without having to purchase the anchor caddie adaptor kit?

      Hi Ron,

      Unfortunately, not but...

If you don't plan on using a bow mount trolling motor, you could get some sort of aluminum plate and drill some holes in it as a single piece adapter kit to go between your RTA-17 and your Sport.

I have my boat setup with both the RTA-17 and our adapter kit, and I don't have a bow mount trolling motor. Like you, I want the ability to remove my anchor nest.

I do have my RTA-17 installed in an angled position, in case, down the road I want to use a bow mount trolling motor.

      Hope this answers your question.

      Regards,

      Paul Anderson
